Darren commenced his career within Accountancy in 2000, working for a local Accountancy practice. During his training and progression throughout his career he has dealt with many different types of trades so giving him great experience in many sectors.
Following the decision to move Accountancy practice to further his career, Darren received personal recommendations from prospective clients. This encouraged him to pursue his ultimate ambition and as a result, Darren commenced his private practice in 2007. Since the private practice was established, the client base has developed mainly from the valuable commendation of existing clients, whom have voluntarily recommended the services provided by Darren.
Alongside maintaining his private practice, Darren was employed within a specialist medical Accountancy firm in Lincolnshire from 2008 to 2014. This gave him experience of Accounting in the private medical profession. Within this role, his duties included responding to the needs of large consultancy partnerships and individual consultants trading as a sole trader or a Limited Company, within the medical profession. This equipped Darren with additional knowledge on tax planning to support high earning individuals to minimise their tax liability, within the legal boundaries.
Darren is a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). In 2013, it was decided to incorporate the private practice into D Hubbard Accountancy Limited, to which Darren is a director. He ceased his additional employment in 2014, to enable him to concentrate full time on his private practice and expand the existing service he is able to offer to clients. The practice provides a full Accountancy service to various businesses, which is currently in excess of 425 clients. Due to this expansion the practice now has five experienced accounts technicians, who assist Darren in looking after all our clients needs. The practice has and will always maintain a one telephone number / email address policy which allows darren to ensure all client correspondence are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
